Log in on outflowstudio.com (Google or a one-click email link), download the installer from your account page, close Premiere Pro and run it. No admin rights needed. Start Premiere and open Window › Extensions › Outflow Studio. Prefer no installer? The same page has a zip with an Install script.

The panel checks once a day. When a new version is ready you see what is new and one click installs it; restart Premiere to finish. Settings › Updates lets you check right away or join the beta channel.

Windows shows that warning for any new installer from a small publisher until enough people have run it. Click "More info" and "Run anyway". The installer only copies the panel into your own user folder and switches on Premiere's extension setting; nothing runs outside Premiere. If an antivirus quarantines one of the engines the panel downloads (the audio and video engines), restore it once and add %APPDATA%\OutflowStudio to its exclusions.

Pro and the creative-tools unlock work on two computers, the free plan on one. Log out inside the panel to free a seat, or replace a computer from the login page when you connect a new one.

Open your account page and click "Manage subscription, invoices": Stripe's portal cancels at the end of the paid period. You keep Pro until then.

If Pro is not for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it, no questions asked.

The first year is $149 (4 months free). Every year after that renews at $190 (2 months free). You see the renewal price in the customer portal and can cancel any time before it.

Check spam, then try "Continue with Google", which needs no email at all. The email link works once and expires after an hour.

The smooth and linear curves are written as two keyframes using Premiere’s own easing. The hand-drawn shapes cannot be described that way, so those are baked in frame by frame, which is why the movement matches the graph exactly instead of roughly.

Yes. The adjustment layer is the default because it keeps your clip untouched and gives you the shutter angle, but you can switch to the clip itself.

The panel reads the surface direction of everything in the frame, so faces, folds and walls catch the light from the right side and fall off on the other. Broad lights look right; a hard shadow of one object onto another is not possible without real 3D.

From the outline of a cutout. It is thrown along the floor away from the light you choose, blurred with distance, and written into the clip's transparency, so it lands on whatever you put on the track below.

No. Only the bytes for the stretch you chose are fetched, which is why eleven seconds of a long 4K video takes about forty seconds instead of many minutes. The ends are cut exactly where you put them. If a site ever refuses to serve part of a file, the panel notices the download came back too long and trims it for you, so you always end up with the piece you picked.

From the small preview images the site already publishes for its own scrub bar - a handful of them, fetched in a moment. The video itself is not touched until you press Download. Sites that do not publish them show a plain bar and the trim still works.

YouTube serves 4K as VP9 or AV1, which Premiere cannot play. The panel re-encodes it to H.264 after the download, which takes a minute or two.

Premiere gives panels no way to switch its tools. What a panel can do is press a key for you, so the button presses the shortcut you gave the mask tool. Premiere ships the tool without one; giving it Shift+Q takes ten seconds and the first press of the button shows you where.

Give the tool any other key in Premiere, then record the same key in the panel: the toolbox button at the foot of the toolbar › Mask tool keys. Click the field, press the keys. Shift or Ctrl+Shift with a letter works best; Alt combinations open Premiere's menus on Windows.

It watches Premiere's undo history while the button is armed. Drawing a mask is one undoable step; selecting clips or switching tools is not. The first new step after the press is your mask, and Opacity is added right after. Pen masks are the exception, since every point can be its own step: close the shape, then press the button once more.

A mask drawn before pressing the button stays where Premiere put it. Draw with the button armed and it lands on Opacity; or in Premiere, right-click the unassigned mask for its own assign option.
